Ryan Ayres is Vice President of Display Systems and Manager of Strategic Growth for digital signage and Placed-Based Media sales. A high energy, fiscally conscious and goal-driven technology executive, Ryan Ayres approaches each new business challenge with his fundamental aptitude for innovation, creative problem-solving, and measured risk-taking to drive sales and advertising revenue for consistent bottom-line growth.
Ayres began his career at AccuWeather in 1995 as Inventory and Logistics Manager, responsible for international finance and letters of credit. During this time, Ayres originated a partnership and strategic logistics plan for PennDOT during inclement weather.
Ayres’ ability to complement his natural accounting and development savvy with a strong foundation in management was recognized by promotion to Customer Systems and Development Manager. Within less than two years, Ayres successfully launched the Galileo® display system, enabling AccuWeather to achieve a 240% increase in market penetration.
Recognized as a manager who could develop and implement products from conception to realization with high sales success, Ayres was promoted to Director and then Executive Director of Television. Within three years, Ayres championed the complete overhaul and revitalization of the TV product landscape by leading his team in building the StoryTeller™ Interactive TouchScreen, the first touchscreen to incorporate creative, engaging apps for an array of top markets.
In 2011, Ryan was promoted to his current position with additional responsibilities of overseeing the global television sales team and Placed-Based Media sales.
Ayres attended Lock Haven University and completed the Business Executive Program and other management courses at the Penn State University Smeal College of Business. Ryan and his wife have two children.
